Internal employees (with archetype-group.com email)

Only the SharePoint site owners can invite new employees to collaboration on a project SharePoint site.

  • Open the SharePoint site
  • Click on Settings> Site permissions
  • In the Site permissions pane, you can see the current access granted
  • Click on the Share site button
  • Enter the user name or email in the textbox, select the suggested person.
  • By default, Read only is selected as the permission type. Change to the desired level of permissions
    • Read = read-only, cannot add, delete or edit files
    • Edit = can add, delete or edit file
    • Full control = can add other employee (site owner)
  • Type a message in the textbox to welcome the new user and click Add.

This will trigger an email to be sent to you and the person invited.


External parties (outside the organization)

Only IT admins can invite new external parties (client, contractors, etc.) to join a project SharePoint site since they need to be granted access to our Office 365 environment.

Please create a new Helpdesk ticket with Office 365 as Type.

Once invited, external recipient will receive an invitation email like this:
